Transfer News: Final – Welcome Marouane Fellaini (and Fabio Coentrao..??)

Manchester United were kept busy until the very last minutes and in the end secure Marouane Fellaini from Everton at £27 million and pull a last minute coup on a possible loan signing Fabio Coentrao from Real Madrid, while the deal for Athletic Bilbao’s Ander Herrera collapsed on the last hour. A midfielder (instead of two) and a leftback for United.Someway along the last few hours of the transfer deadline Manchester United also lodged in a £30 million bid for Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira but was rejected. However the manner of the collapsed of Anders Herrera’s deal comes as a shock surprise and ended up a huge embarrassment for the Old Trafford club. Even Fabio Coentrao’s loan deal is not confirmed as Real Madrid seemed to have pull the plug on the deal for various reasons to be confirm by both clubs.

Elseway, Arsenal seems to be doing better in securing the services of Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid for a club record of £42 million – without hitch.
