Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Luiz Suarez: What is their connection in the current transfer window?

Of these four, two wanted out of their current team (really wanted to!), and two has not confirmed whether they are moving, and all four’s respective clubs want to hold on to them for various reasons…..
For those of you who follow the transfer news for the upcoming season, you might have notice that these four names are headlines grabber. They are big names of course, but they are also key players in their respective teams. A confirm transfer for one of these will (might) trigger a series of transfer for the other three.

Top of the list is Gareth Bale. A reported but unconfirmed news of a possible £85 million bid for Bale from Real Madrid might see Cristiano Ronaldo moving back to Manchester United. This will in turn allows a want-away Wayne Rooney to leave for his favour destination – Chelsea. With Arsenal missing out on Wayne Rooney, the attention would be fully focused on securing the services of the ‘controversial’ Luiz Suarez.

Another likely scenario would be for Cristiano Ronaldo to remain at Real Madrid. This gives Manchester United a fully focused charge towards securing Gareth Bale’s signature. This may allow Real Madrid to finally land their unconfirmed target – Luiz Suarez (who would be way cheaper than a certain Gareth Bale. In turn, Manchester United would allow Wayne Rooney to leave – Chelsea being his preferred destination. If this scenario happens Arsene Wenger and Arsernal would be the side that will end up disappointed (sorry Gunner fans!).

Gareth Bale is also reportedly preferred Manchester United due to reasons such as not having the need to uproot his young family to a new environment, language and culture-wise. As well as that he (Bale) is the superstar of Premier League last season but without the necessary trophies to show for – why move to a completed new environment of La Liga as opposed to moving to a team where winning trophy after trophy is a requirement.

The transfers of these four players are far from over, as ever in the football world and the transfer market there will be twist. Every few days some new developments, whether those making sense or not, will emerge. Stay tune!
