The Wayne Rooney Saga – Part 4: Final Part?

Honestly the Rooney thing is getting really long winded. Can this guy just get a grip and make a decision? Can he just stated his intention since he is an avid user of social media to stream his voices? Or he already has makes a decision. That he wants to leave but can’t.

His body language during his substitute appearance in the Swansea game says it all. Not celebrating with his teammates for the third and fourth goals in which he had a hand in creating both, was a clear statement of intent. Wayne Rooney has to however be reminded that he is playing for Manchester United, the biggest club in the world, the club with history and heritage of players wearing the badge. A club where players are proud to wear the badge and play for the club, in short a club so highly esteem that no players no matter how good they are, can be bigger than the club. To simply say he is unhappy and wants a move to Chelsea – a rival club, and expecting his wishes granted would be day dreaming for Wayne Rooney.

But Wayne Rooney being an important player for England – as well as any clubs, seeing him unutilized is just bad – for football. The player himself first and foremost needs to sort it out, for his sake first and then for the club and country. He has already stated the importance of playing time to get into match fitness mode and regain sharpness. If Rooney knows he is not allowed to leave at any costs then he should just make a statement and move on to the footballing side. Rooney is well aware of the fact of backlash from supporters, fans and even teammates and it will eventually affect him, mentally and emotionally and hence his performance will suffer. Moving on will help everybody involves in the saga especially Wayne Rooney himself.
