News
from Marca, a Spanish paper reported
that Gareth Bales agrees personal terms and a 6 years deal with Real Madrid.
Fabregas wants to wait for showdown talks with new Barcelona manager – Gerardo
Martino.
Whether
to be believe or not, many news portal give credibility to Spanish paper Marca, after all they are the ones that
‘accurate’ reports on the arrival of Cristiana Ronaldo, Luca Modric and Kaka.
But the amount mentioned is absurd – in excess of £85 millions. Surely the law
of inflation has not reach to that level since Cristiano Ronaldo £80 millions
transfer from Manchester United. Many believe that Gareth Bale is worth no more
than £50 million. When Ronaldo left for Real Madrid in 2008 he has already
collected the highest individual award there is for a footballer and having won
Champions League and the World Club titles, along with several domestic league
titles. Bale on the other hand features in two seasons of Champions League, but
with notable performances. Having two pacy forward in the mould of Bale and
Ronaldo would be frightening but it might also affect Ronaldo’s state of mind
as attention would be share. Already having said that he (Ronaldo) is unloved
in Spain, and having to play second fiddle to Lionel Messi of Barcelona in the “best
player” stakes, Ronaldo now also has to contend with another highly rated flair
player in the form of Neymar. So imagine Gareth Bale manage to adapt very well
to La Liga, where would that leave Ronaldo? Everyone of the above mentioned
players (Messi, Neymar, Bale) are very young with many good years ahead. Would Ronaldo
consider a move back to the club where he has affection with?
Cesc Fabregas
meanwhile is reported to has his ‘head turned’ in these ongoing bids from Manchester
United. Not only is Manchester United willing to double his wages but given
United’s effort in signing him, a clause would be inserted into his contract
guaranteeing him starting position. The issue with having to deal with Gunner’s
fans reaction – would soon become an non-issue, Fabregas only has to look at
former teammate Robin Van Persie and realize that as a player he would want to
play in the top clubs and win trophies – full stop. With the coming World Cup,
Fabregas would want to ensure his is playing football week in week out to
secure his place in the national side. The moment when Barcelona (if) accepts Manchester
United’s bid, the transfer will be a “done deal”.
