David
Moyes and his team will be facing another high flying team – Newcastle United –
at home. As in the case of Southampton, West Bromwich Albion and lately
Everton, teams like these goes to Old Trafford with confidence knowing that
they could return with positive results – and the fear factor United used to possess
under Sir Alex Ferguson is long gone.
With Wayne Rooney suspended, Robin Van Persie still doubtful and Michael Carrick out injured, the dependable grand old man of the team Ryan Giggs playing 90 minutes against Everton on Wednesday night, Manchester United is left searching for that special player in the team that will lift United out of their awful home form this season. This leave Phil Jones as the critical player United needs and can call on. It is also hard to see if Marouane Fellaini could be recalled after failing to leave his mark since his August transfer – unless David Moyes decides to ‘put steel’ to his midfield.

With
the squad he has, it is about time for David Moyes to rotate. He cannot afford
not to with the number of games coming up this month. Every single player in
the squad should have time on the pitch, given that (with the exception of
Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie) every player has not shown as consistencies
with their performance so far this season. The likes of Anderson, Nani, Fabio
as well as Javier Hernandez need to be given the opportunities when the games
come thick and fast. Let’s just hope rotation will be able to bring the best out of
Moyes’ men during this hectic period, as seen during Alex Ferguson’s era. At home at Old Trafford, United simply must win this game - convincingly - because this is Manchester United!
