Cristiano
Ronaldo – not sure but likely not coming, Gareth Bale – also most likely not
coming. Those are the two big marquee names during this transfer window for Manchester
United but it seems they are way off the lists. Thiago Alcantara was supposed
to be David Moyes 1st signing before the pre season starts. He preferred
to link up with his former manager Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich instead.
Manchester United then turn their attention to Cesc Fabregas with a formal bid
in the region of more than £25 million. The latest news had Cesc Fabregas and
Barcelona insisting that no transfer will happen as Fabregas is staying.
This
leads to papers continuing to speculate, with Marouane Fellaini the next. Also
speculated was another improved bid for Leighton Baines. Luca Modric is another
name linked. So we have Guillermo Varela
and Wilfred Zaha as the only new signings for the new season. While we do trust
that David Moyes and Manchester United are working hard to secure new signings
the increasing trend of targeted players snubbing Man Utd has fans feeling let
down. David Moyes does have the reputations of turning average players into
good players and maybe he should just concentrates on his judgement of players
whom he actually wants. Fellaini for a start will not be disappointing as
Manchester United squad urgent needs is midfielders with Paul Scholes retired
and Darren Fletcher suffering from illness.
