Imagine
this, Gareth Bale, Wayne Rooney and Luiz Suarez joining Cristiano Ronaldo at
Real Madrid. Joining them will be other new signing – Isco, Aier Illarramendi,
Daniel Carvajal and Casemiro. Alright then, fantasy football many would say,
but it could still happen….
Remember when Real Madrid (or may likely Florentino Perez) started the ‘second galaticos campaign’, they signed Cristiano Ronaldo (£80M), Kaka (£60M), Xabi Alonso (£30M), Karim Benzema (£30M), Raul Albiol (£13M), Alvaro Negredo (£4M), Esteban Granero (£3.5M) and Alvaro Arbeloa (£3.5M), to the total of £220 million plus.

Fast
forward to present day, Gareth Bale at £85 million, Wayne Rooney at £40 million
and Luiz Suarez at £50 million would end up at £185 million plus. Together with
the £60 million plus on Isco, Illarramendi, Carvajal and Casemiro and the
outgoing transfer of Gonzalo Higuain, Raul Albiol, Jose Callejon and Pedro
Leon, the figure is actually lower than the Ronaldo’s era spending of £220
million plus. With that sort of possible spending and with the fact that Real Madrid
is helm by ‘galacticos’ crazy F Perez, there are every possibilities that the
transfers of Wayne Rooney, Gareth Bale and Luiz Suarez still could happen.
As
Manchester United fans this will be a
nightmare scenario, losing Wayne Rooney and failure to convince Cristiano Ronaldo
to return to the club he ‘love and misses’, and not even a sniff on Gareth Bale
(never mind Luiz Suarez, he might end up biting one of the three!).
If
this does happen one man would be the happiest – Florentino Perez, he might
even afford one of the biggest grin there is to mankind – in his sleep.
