Rooney, Bale, Suarez and Ronaldo: Nobody going anywhere, just yet

With two weeks of transfer activities remaining a lot still can happen. But the sagas, the standoff and the controversies aside, no deal had been done. Even though Wayne Rooney and Luiz Suarez are reported to be eyeing a move, their respective clubs, Manchester United and Liverpool are standing firm with their decisions not to sell their star players. The Gareth Bale negotiation meanwhile, is supposed to be ongoing..

David Moyes 1st Real Test: Are we confident?

Pass his first competitive test he did, convincing? No. Not when you are playing against a championship side like Wigan Athletic – no disrespect. But the win over Wigan saw shades of Sir Alex Ferguson, in styles and in formation and in the team itself too…

Transfer News/Updates: 13 August – Russian club and Everton

With rest than 3 weeks to go, it appears that transfer activities – for Manchester United (as well as its closest rivals) had been blowing hot and cold. Take Your Pick - Luiz Suarez for £40+£1, £50++ million? : You got to be kidding?

What is Liverpool waiting for? Forget the £100 million Brendan Rodgers ‘highlighted’ when comparing Luiz Suarez to Gareth Bale. Cash in now since there is no Champions League lucrative revenue this season anyway. Cash in now before Arsene Wenger returns from dreamland. Luiz Suarez is disrespecting the once great Liverpool, disrespecting his manager and his teammates, and even former closest rival’s fans are paying a lot of attention to this Uruguayan biter.

This makes everyone laugh (almost, with the exception of some Liverpool fans whom are still blinded by Suarez ‘extraordinary world class abilities’ on the field). Luiz Suarez Saga: To laugh or to sneer?

Admittedly, as a Manchester United die-hard fan, any news from Liverpool can be interesting given the history of rivalries between these two clubs. Whether one sees it as sportingly mannered bantering or going to the extreme (mocking of the Munich crash by Liverpool fans) the intensity of bantering between the two clubs supporters rivaled, and even exceed that of El Classico in Spain.
